We believe our community deserves the best medical care that modern technology and medical caregivers can provide. The role of the Lakeshore General Hospital (LGH) Foundation is to raise funds for the purchase of medical equipment from the Hospital’s priority needs list. Each year, the Equipment Committee of the West Island Health and Social Services Centre (WI HSSC) submits requests to the LGH Foundation’s Board of Directors for specific equipment acquisitions identified by doctors, nurses, and administrators as priority items. All requests must relate to patient care.

Your donation to the LGH Foundation allows for a higher standard of equipment than allowed for by government funding alone. Better equipment helps to attract medical professionals and results in better care for you and all of our patients.
