2011 - Lakeshore Ball

LGH Foundation raises $875,000 at 11^th Annual Lakeshore Ball  

 

The Lakeshore General Hospital (LGH) Foundation is thrilled to report that a record-breaking $875,000 was raised at the 11^th Annual Lakeshore Ball, held on October 1st, 2011 at the beautiful Château Vaudreuil. The Ball was once again one of the West Island’s most esteemed and memorable social events of the year. Guests enjoyed superb dining and dancing to the music of the Paul Chacra and 1945 Orchestra, as well as a comprehensive silent auction, raffle, and full valet parking. 

 

The glittering event was attended by many of the community’s most influential and well-known citizens. The Foundation was delighted to welcome back The Honourable Yves Bolduc, Minister of Health and Social Services of Quebec, who made a surprise $15,000 donation. The distinguished guest list also included Minister Geoffrey Kelley, Pierrefonds-Dollard Depute Lysane Blanchette-Lamothe, Mayor Bill McMurchie of Pointe-Claire, Mayor David Pollock of Beaconsfield, Mayor John Meaney of Kirkland, Mayor George McLeish of Senneville, and hockey broadcasting legend, Mr. Dick Irvin, Jr. Catherine Sherriffs of CTV Montreal served as MC.

 

All funds raised from this year’s magnificent event will fund much-needed equipment to improve the LGH emergency room. The Foundation thanks Giuseppe Monticciolo, Jr., who presented a donation of $500,000 to the LGH Foundation in loving memory of his mother, Maria Saputo Monticciolo, to fund the Short Stay Unit which reduces overcrowding in the LGH ER.
