2010 - Our 10th Anniversary Lakeshore Ball

Thanks to our supporters, the LGH Foundation raised $485,000 at the 2010 Lakeshore Ball, including a surprise cheque from a very special guest...

        The beautiful Chateau Vaudreuil was a wonderful setting for a spectacular night! 



Cheque presentation of$470,000 plus a surprise cheque of $15,000 which was then added for a 
grand total of $485,000.  The surprise cheque was presented by Yves Bolduc, Minister of Health.

The Lakeshore General Hospital (LGH) Foundation is proud to report that $485,000 was raised at the 10th Anniversary Lakeshore Ball, which included a surprise donation of $15,000 made by The Hon. Yves Bolduc, Quebec Minister of Health, who was present at the event. Records were broken that evening in both proceeds raised and for attendance, which was nearly 400 guests. The event was held on the evening of October 16th, 2010 at the Château Vaudreuil. Guests, in black-tie and formal attire, were treated to an exciting and unforgettable evening, beginning with a sumptuous 7-course meal and with continuous entertainment provided by Paul Chacra and 1945.
 
The event was attended by many of influential and well-known citizens from both our community and at a national level:
 
Senator Leo Housakos, The Hon. Baljit S. Chadha, Member of the Queen’s Privy Council, Mr. Francis Scarpaleggia, Member of Parliament for Lac-St-Louis, The Hon Yves Bolduc, Minister of Health and Social Services of Quebec, Mr. Geoff Kelley, Member of the National Assembly for Jacques-Cartier, Mayor Bill McMurchie of Pointe-Claire, and hockey broadcasting legend, Mr. Dick Irvin, Jr.
The Lakeshore Ball is one of the West Island’s most desirable social events of the year. All funds raised from this year’s event will assist in purchasing priority-needs equipment for the Lakeshore General Hospital, that government funding alone cannot provide.
